bradykinin (BK), nonapeptide, is a mesenteric vasoregulator. BK is naturally occurring in the gut wall. The substrate for BK, as well as the biosynthetic and metabolizing systems are present in the blood, the vascular wall, immunological cells, and perivascular neurons.
