GLP-1 receptor (GLP-1R) is a receptor protein expressed on beta cells of the pancreas and neurons of the brain. GLP-1R interacts with GLP-1 and plays a key role in reducing neuroinflammation, promoting nerve growth, improving heart function, suppressing appetite, delaying gastric emptying, regulating blood lipid metabolism and reducing fat deposition.
