Intraocular pressure (IOP) is defined as the pressure difference between the IOP and the pressure in the extraocular surrounding space. Usually is measured as the transcorneal pressure difference between the IOP and the atmospheric pressure. IOP is of utmost importance for physiology and pathophysiology of the eye.

眼压 (IOP) 是指眼压与眼外周围间隙压力之间的压力差。通常用眼压和大气压之间的经角膜压差来测量。眼压对眼睛的生理和病理生理极为重要。
