Mitochondrial fusion promoter. Protects cells from mitochondrial fragmentation-associated cell death. Induces mitochondrial fusion in effector T cells imposing a memory T cell morphology. Improves cellular respiration and potentiates glucose-stimulated insulin-secretion in cholesterol-exposed pancreatic β cells.
