Glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) is a peroxidoreductase that protects cells from oxidative stress and inhibits inflammation and oxidation-induced regulatory cell death. Glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) mainly includes four types: cytosolic GSH-Px, plasma GSH-Px, phospholipid hydroperoxide GSH-Px and gastrointestinal specific GSH-Px.
