The renal sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) is a glucose transport protein. SGLT2 is responsible for reabsorption of most of the glucose filtered by the kidney. SGLT2 can be used for the research of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
