Tyrosine hydroxylase (TH) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the synthesis of the catecholamines dopamine (DA), noradrenaline (NA) and adrenaline. TH activity is controlled by multiple mechanisms, is critical for normal physiology and is implicated in certain neuropathological conditions.
