Background

Faldaprevir-d₆ is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of faldaprevir by GC- or LC-MS. Faldaprevir is an inhibitor of hepatitis C virus (HCV) non-structural protease 3/4A (NS3/4A; IC₅₀ = 3 nM for the HCV genotype 1b enzyme).¹ It inhibits genotype 1a and 1b HCV RNA replication in replicon assays (EC₅₀s = 6.5 and 3.1 nM, respectively).²
