Background
Ac-FLTD-CMK is an inhibitor of caspase-1, -4, -5, and -11.1 It inhibits caspase-1, -4, and -5 (IC50s = 0.0467, 1.49, and 0.329, respectively, for the recombinant human enzymes) and cleavage of gasdermin D (GSDMD), an effector involved in pyroptosis and NETosis, by mouse caspase-11 when used at a concentration of 10 µM. Ac-FLTD-CMK (10 µM) inhibits LPS- and ATP- or LPS- and nigericin-induced pyroptosis and IL-1β release in mouse bone marrow-derived macrophages (BMDMs).
