A chromogenic substrate for thrombin
S-2238 is a chromogenic substrate for thrombin.1,2 Upon enzymatic cleavage, p-nitroanilide (pNA) is released which can be quantified by colorimetric detection at 405 nm as a measure of thrombin activity.
