Background

Wilforgine is a sesquiterpene alkaloid that has been found in T. wilfordii and has paralytic activity.^1,2 It induces paralysis in third instar M. separata larvae with a 50% narcotic concentration (NC₅₀) value of 0.0086 ?mol/larvae.²
