Grosvenorine is a flavonol glycoside that has been found in S. grosvenorii and has antibacterial and antioxidant activities.1 It is active against methicillin-sensitive and -resistant S. aureus, as well as Enterococcus, in disc diffusion assays when used at a concentration of 250 ?g/ml. Grosvenorine scavenges ABTS and DPPH radicals in cell-free assays in a concentration-dependent manner.
